Ketua Polis Negara berjudi? PDRM bina makmal judi pula

"Ini adalah sebahagian daripada tugas rasmi polis. PDRM telah menubuhkan Makmal Judi untuk membanteras perjudian tanpa lesen, penipuan perjudian, perjudian internet dan sebagainya. Itu tugas polis. Bagaimana pula tugas penguatkuasa jabatan agama? Masih ditakuk lama lagi kah?

Tidak mahukan menubuhkan pasukan penguatkuasa jabatan agama yang lebih mesra dalam mendidik masyarakat? Menangkap pelaku maksiat adalah langkah kedua selepas amar maaruf. Gejala buang bayi bertambah, kes zina bertambah, khalwat bertambah, judi bertambah, minum arak bertambah, perceraian dan penderaan bertambah di kalangan umat Islam, namun tiada usaha bersepadu untuk menggerakkan Amar Maaruf, Nahi Munkar. Nak harapkan PEKIDA, sekadar slogan sahaja.

Beware of the 'gambling' cops

KUALA LUMPUR: Illegal gamblers beware as "gambling experts" will be watching you. However, these "experts" actually comprise several trained police officers under the newly formed Gambling Prevention Training Laboratory. 
The formation of the was set up to combat illegal gambling activities. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar, said the Gambling Prevention Training Laboratory will equip the police force, especially from Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division (D7), with the insider know-how, such as how illegal gambling operations work and the techniques and tricks used. 
"There is a proverb: 'To catch a thief, you need to be a thief'. This concept also applies here. Every year, the Royal Malaysian Police organises courses to train 'gambling experts' among selected police officers," Ismail said during a Press conference after the launch of the Standard Operating Procedure manual, Crime Investigation Department Portal update and Gambling Prevention Training Laboratory at the RMP College in Cheras today. The laboratory, a "mock casino", is located within the college. 
"The laboratory, which cost RM198,000, will consist of a roulette device, three gambling tables and four slot machines. It will also be equipped with several training gambling 'chips' and gambling machines." 
Ismail also gave his assurance that the "gambling experts" would not abuse their skills to gain profit and the laboratory was expected to be established in other State police contingents.
