“Up to now, there has been no verification from the Forensics Unit. As such, I believe my husband is still alive,” she told reporters at her house in Taman Seraya, Ampang, here.
Noorhisham, 38, an officer with the Kampung Baru branch of CIMB Bank, had gone missing on Aug 30, along with Nouvelle Visages cosmetics line founder Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya, 47, Sosilawati’s driver Kamaruddin Shamsudin, 44, and lawyer Ahmad Kamil Abdul Karim, 32.
Police said on Sunday all four of them were bashed to death, their bodies burnt and the ashes strewn into a river at Ladang Gadong in Tanjong Sepat near Banting.
Police have picked up eight suspects, among them are two lawyers.
Suzana, 38, has been unable to bear watching news on the gruesome murders on television or to follow newspaper reports
on the matter since the police announcement on Sunday.
“My family members are keeping me updated on the developments. I cannot bear to face it,” she said.
She said her husband was to have taken the family to Muar to celebrate Aidilfitri and his birthday yesterday.
Meanwhile, at the CIMB Bank branch in Kampung Baru, a staff approached by Bernama said Noorhisham’s colleagues could not as yet accept his departure.
He said they felt a huge loss because Noorhisham was a dedicated and committed employee.
In Jalan Raja Bot, Kampung Baru, the office of Sosilawati’s company, Nouvelle Beauty Sdn Bhd, remains closed.
A notice at the entrance says the office has been closed for Aidilfitri from Sept 10 to 15. — Bernama
