Malaysian Airports Berhad senior general manager – operation services Datuk Azmi Murad said inbound and outbound flights had resumed after the airport reopened.
“Affected airlines are rescheduling their flights following the reopening of the airport,” he told Bernama tonight.
He said the plane that had skidded off the airport’s runway had been removed from the grassy embankment by AirAsia engineers with two cranes and heavy machinery.
The AirAsia flight AK5218, which took off from the Low Cost Carrier Terminal Kuala Lumpur, skidded off the runway during landing in heavy rain at 10.02pm last night. – Bernama
