ADUN Canning (Wong Kah Woh): UMNO tunjuk pistol!

" Just to share with you all at this blogsphere what happened this morning.

Departing from Hotel…
We gathered at the lobby of the Hotel we were staying at around 9.10 a.m. this morning. We have chartered a bus to go SUK together while MB and Speaker went in separate cars.

Reaching…
We reached Medan Istana around 9.20 a.m. by the DR Park-CIMB entrance as we were informed that the other two entrances were blocked. All of us got down from the bus when we are roughly 300 metres away from SUK.

Short Gun…
The first shocking news was that Sdr. Sugumaran who reached earlier and dealt with a group of people (if not UMNO, who else?) gathering right at the SUK junction reported to us that someone from the group had shown a short gun which was kept at his waist. Sugumaran informed the police personnel in charge but it was informed that it has nothing to do with them!!!

After taking some security preventive measures, we together with the MB and Speaker with the help of our security personnel and unit Amar started to walk toward SUK but it was blocked by the UMNO group. The group started shouting and provoking. Our security personnel had shown their great professionalism by not reacting (as it will give a reason for the Police to act). Some of them even complained to me that they were assaulted from the back when trying to open the ways for us and blocking the UMNO group.

Alternative way…
On security reason, we have decided to back down and strategize our move. We later found out that there was another route which was blocked only by the Police. There were attempts to stop us going through by the Police but we have reminded them that we are the lawful elected reps and no one shall stop us from going into Dewan. We managed to get through.

Blocked by FRU…
We were shortly (estimately 20 metres away from SUK main entrance) and blocked by the FRUs. Three Water Cannons were deployed and there were some pushings. I was pushed by one of the FRU and I shouted at him that I am an elected ADUN exercising my duty at SUK! He starred at me (which his face I can still remember clearly) with the handcuff in front of his chest and I starred at him back.

Lih Kang, Ming Kai, Thomas, Sivanesan and myself started to negotiate and argue with the Police Personnel but all of us were blocked. In the process, Diamond Loke (Kepayang) and our OKU elected rep Yew Tian Hoe (Aulong) fell down as a result of pushing by the FRUs. YB Kesh (Malim Nawar) suffered bruises in his leg as he was kicked by the FRUs.

Taking photo of a FRU right in front of his face…
When there was a rough pushing on Lih Kang by one of the FRU, I (standing behind Lih Kang) decided to take out my camera and take the FRU photo right on his face. I don’t know how to describe him here. He tried to avoid my camera few times and finally bow down his head. Why are they so worried if they are doing the right thing?

Ngeh’s negotiation…
Ngeh then walked forward to negotiate with ACP Azisman, OCPD Ipoh, who was standing on one of the Water Cannon. There is no courtesy at all from Azisman to come down and negotiate. Both parties merely communicate with Azisman on the truck and Ngeh on the ground.

Azisman’s announcement…
Azisman later announced that only the Speaker can enter SUK but not the ADUNs and it is pursuant to the order by the State Secretary. The State Secretary is clearly guilty of contempt of the House and law by obstructing the elected reps to enter SUK!

Dewan sitting convened…
We have decided to go 100 metres away from SUK and after some discussions, the Speaker had decided to declare that the sitting will be held there and then on the Doctrine of necessity. Three motions were passed by all the ADUNs attending the sitting.
All the 28 of us only believe in a course. We have the People's 54% majority support. We are representing the People and no one shall stop us, legally or illegally, into the House.
